September’s slide and negative scanning kept me going into early October with still more old train pictures. These old Southern Pacific photos turned out to be a real hit with the railfans on Instagram. If I would have had more forethought I would have taken even more photos of the railroads that would soon be absorbed into the Union Pacific. But it wasn’t all trains – I also had a couple from when fire engines from all over the state came to town to fight the 1992 Highway 41 Fire and some old pictures from San Francisco.
Also new is a photo of the NEOWISE comet as seen from my front yard.
